Remote Pilot Certificate
Collective Training is a licensed Aviation Training Organisation (ATO Certificate SACAA/1625/ATO), certified by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) for remotely piloted aircraft (RPAS) or drones.
We have taken away much of the hard work of obtaining an RPC for commercial drone operations by designing an all-inclusive training course that equips students with the skill and knowledge required to operate crewless aircraft in a commercial capacity safely and also guides and supports you through all the steps necessary to obtain your license from the SACAA.
RPC Training divides into two parts: theory and practical training.
Collective Training conducts live, instructor-led online training for students enrolled in a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) course. Courses run every Monday – Friday starting from 9am, according to demand. Individual pricing for theory and practical components is available.
For time-strapped learners, we also offer a theory e-learning option on our online e-learning platform, which allows you to study where you want, when you want, and at your own pace.
Exams and one-on-one practical flight instruction will take place at our Flight Schools.
Once both training and practical elements are complete (allow a minimum of 4-8 weeks) Collective Training will prepare, lodge, and manage your Remote Pilot Certificate application with the SACAA directly, saving you time and added effort.
In addition to the theory exams, students will need to complete the following:
Restricted Radio License training (theory and practical included in above)
English Proficiency Exam consists of an oral interview with the examiner (exemption might be available for some tertiary degrees or English first language).
