Beyond Visual Line Of Sight Course (BVLOS)

Collective Training proudly presents our five-day instructor-led and online Beyond Visual Line

of Sight (BVLOS) endorsement Training Course, certified by the SACAA (South African Civil

Aviation Authority).

Training Schedule

Made up of online lectures, briefings and mission simulator sessions, students will learn the

following subjects:

• Air law as applicable to BVLOS.

• Instrument Flight Procedures, Airspaces & Radio Mission Planning Requirements.

• Introduction to Crew Resource Management (CRM) Meteorology Review.

• Introduction to BVLOS Simulator using Mission Planner programme.

• BVLOS Simulator Missions including Emergencies.

Included in the fee is:

• Copies of all material required in the classroom.

• Simulated BVLOS missions using Mission Planner Software.

• BVLOS theory exam and BVLOS practical.

• Skills Test (separate to 5-day course)

• The BVLOS application to the SACAA and the collection of your license.

What you’ll need

• A stable internet connection with acceptable speed for video.

• An enabled camera and microphone.

• A laptop or tablet to interact with the class.

• A valid Remote Pilot License or Certificate (RPL or RPC)

Step-by-step guide:

• STEP 1: Complete five-day theory training.

• STEP 2: BVLOS Theory Exam – JHB.

• STEP 3: Complete a recommendation session with a qualified BVLOS instructor.

• STEP 4: Schedule a Practical Skills Test with an examiner.

• STEP 5: Collective Training paperwork submission to SACAA on your behalf.

• STEP 6: You obtain your BVLOS endorsement.
